We try to get outside no matter the weather, and Iowa winters have had us trying all sorts of different snow gear. After using them for a full year, we finally like a mitten well enough to recommend it so I’m sharing a product review for Mittyz from Veyo Kids! Not a sponsored post; I bought them and we’ve been using them for the past year and a half before I felt good about reporting back. I think these are the best mittens for toddlers and the best mittens that actually stay on for kids! We basically wear the fall gear for hiking, plus puffy down coats and snowpants, plus these mittens, for winter.

We bought ours on Amazon*; you can see they have a bunch of cute designs. Normally I buy whatever color/style is cheapest and the kids have to live with it, but honestly the tiger design motivates them to wear them! They love having “tiger paws”.

We’ve washed and dried this pair at least 30 times and they still look as good as new!

You can see the large on the left, medium on the right.

The biggest feature for us has been the boxy hand shape. The extra room makes it easier for them to grip things with their fingers spread instead of like a robot claw in traditional mittens.

I’m thankful for this clip function, which keeps the pair together.

Here you can see the two cinch spots – around the wrist and up closer to the elbow keeping it all tight and warm!

Other notable details include that they are waterproof, and have a “Patented EasyThumb shape” that makes it easy to get them on and situated. There are 3 different sizes; we have the medium and large for my 2.5 and 5 year old, they both fit just fine. I wish they had an adult size, too!

We have also tried the Snowstoppers mittens*; the two main differences that led us to try the Mittyz were 1. snowstoppers are hand wash only and 2. The narrow mitten part made it difficult for my kids to grab things, and they just ripped them off. They simply didn’t get used, and if they did, they didn’t get washed.

Which is why we think the Mittyz on Amazon* are the best snow mittens for kids! Let me know if you’ve tried them!
