Blue Flag Marsh is named after the Blue Flag Iris plant that grows there, with diverse wetland foliage to observe. No marked trails exist, but it is a great place to explore.
Otter Creek Park has remote campsites, a playground, and lots of wooded trails.
Grant Park is a secluded, wooded park with lots of trails to hike.
Annett Nature Center is next to Lake Ahquabi State Park; the three floor nature center is a popular field trip destination, with interactive displays and a small collection of live animals. Outside there is a wildlife viewing blind, trails, a butterfly garden, and observation deck. Please call ahead if you plan on going inside the nature center (as opposed to just hiking outside) because hours may vary depending on the staff.
Bank Swallow Bend is a diverse wetland area, with great opportunities for birding. There is an active eagle nest on the property, and fishing is allowed.
