Chesterfield Park a STEM-Focused Sprayground

Chesterfield is a newly renovated playground and sprayground near the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The sprayground is a STEM-focused sprayground with multiple cause-and-effect elements that are unique to central Iowa. This sprayground is spread out in a larger area with a stream connecting the elements, giving kids lots of room to explore.

Chesterfield Park is located at 2719 Scott Ave in Des Moines, one mile from the Iowa State Fairgrounds.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., May 1st to September 31st, free of charge.

Make sure your matchbox car lover brings one to this playground. The 2-5-year-old playground is one of the cherished matchbox car track playgrounds in central Iowa. The 5-12 structure has a climbing tower with a double slide. There are also swings, spinners, and musical elements found here.
